Welcome to Kulmbach
Dear members of the public!
A warm welcome to the new homepage of the town of Kulmbach. I am pleased that you are visiting the website of the “secret beer capital” in the heart of the region for culinary enjoyment in Upper Franconia.
Here you can find comprehensive information and basic data on our large district town. Whether citizens’ advice services, economy, tourism, cultural highlights or local politics – we will be glad to assist you further on more than 10 000 pages. But do not be put off by this figure – our internet specialists have set up everything in such a way that the navigation is as simple as can be and accessing pages should be a joy.
Kulmbach is a town with history and culture, where, based on tradition, the pleasures of eating and drinking are upheld. One simply has a responsibility in regard to everything culinary and convivial, not only as a world-famous beer town. For Kulmbach also belongs to the important German locations of the food processing industry and, in addition, is the location of the Bavarian cluster for Food. A large role in this is definitely played by the brewing industry, with its products having made the name of the town of Kulmbach known outside the borders of Germany. But also leading international companies from the spice and bakery improvers and mixes sector have their headquarters in the beer town, over and above, Kulmbach is a centre of research, and soon also a university seat, within the food sector. Internationally recognized experts from the area of research in the field of medicine are just as settled here as a leading manufacturer of refrigeration systems, well-positioned national media as well as the clinic, a hospital mainly for level two treatment.
Kulmbach is full of dynamism but does not forget the values which have grown within it. And, with all the joie de vivre, the economic basis has to be right. We people of Kulmbach – with our feet firmly on the ground and at the same time looking to the future – are in total agreement about this.
Therefore I would now like to wish you a lot of fun surfing on our pages and would like to extend a warm invitation, to not only visit us in a virtual world, but also once in reality.
